GamePilot — a smart library that helps you decide what to play

GamePilot isn’t trying to replace your launchers. It’s here for the moment before you play — when you’re staring at your library thinking, “I don’t know what I’m in the mood for.”

This first release is a small, local‑first app that suggests games based on your mood, genre preferences, and how much time you have. It’s simple, a little rough around the edges, but already surprisingly helpful.

What GamePilot does right now

  • Suggests games based on mood Feeling chill? Energetic? Want something story‑heavy? GamePilot filters your library to match the vibe.
  • Understands your time window Only have 20 minutes? Or a whole evening? It adjusts recommendations accordingly.
  • Sorts by genre and feel A lightweight way to rediscover games you forgot you owned.
  • Local-first and private Everything stays on your machine. No accounts, no cloud, no tracking.
  • Simple, clean interface A small, focused tool designed to help you choose faster.

Why this exists

Choosing a game is often harder than playing one. Most launchers show you everything at once, which can be overwhelming. GamePilot gives you a gentle nudge toward something that fits your current mood, not just your library size.

This release is intentionally minimal — the goal is to see how people use it, what feels good, and what needs improving.

What’s rough or missing (honest early‑access notes)

  • Launching games works, but isn’t instant or deeply optimised yet.
  • The UI is simple and will evolve with feedback.
  • Mood categories are early and will get smarter over time.
  • Some libraries may need manual refreshes or tweaks.

This is a first version, not a polished final product — and that’s the point.

Planned improvements

  • Smarter mood detection and better suggestions
  • Faster, more reliable launching
  • More platforms supported
  • Custom moods and personalised filters
  • Better UI flow and animations
  • Optional “surprise me” mode
