Big update! GamePilot v1.9.0 is here with Linux/Steam Deck beta support, Discord Rich Presence, and a whole new way to celebrate your gaming history.

What's New

🐧 Linux / Steam Deck Beta GamePilot now runs on Linux via AppImage. Steam library discovery covers standard Linux, Flatpak Steam, and removable-media paths. Steam protocol launching and Proton-aware process matching are working. Linux is Steam-first for now — Windows-only launchers remain unsupported in the beta.

🎮 Discord Rich Presence Now your Discord profile shows what you're playing through GamePilot. Automatic activity updates when you launch and close games, with idle presence when browsing your library.

🏆 Hall of Champions Every week, month, and year, GamePilot crowns your champion — the game that defined that period. Portrait-led history shows hours, sessions, longest sitting, share of period play, and runner-up margin. Past periods are locked as local time capsules. Champion cards and annual boards can be shared as images.

🎭 Recent-Play Personas Your persona now adapts to recent sessions instead of stale lifetime favourites. Themes like survival, horror, space, fantasy, strategy, and cozy play contribute to hybrid persona labels. All-time mode is still available on the Profile page.

📖 Expanded Year in Review A Champion Journey surfaces your annual winner and monthly champion covers. Annual details include total hours, sessions, longest sitting, and percentage of yearly play. Champion data is included in local exports.

🎯 Smarter Recommendations A new "Because you played" shelf connects recently played games to similar backlog candidates. Scoring considers recent rotation, tags, genres, ratings, favourites, and repeat behaviour.

🏅 Achievement Overhaul Curated attainable achievements replace stale legacy definitions. Theme and backlog achievements recognise current behaviour. Rarity, XP rewards, category filters, and locked/unlocked views are now surfaced.

🧹 Cleanup Removed 40+ unused components and services. Home, recommendations, library, profile, stats, rewards, and settings consolidated around the core decision-making flow.
